Avoid lying on your back when you sleep:
Lying on your back is the most common posture when sleeping. This posture can help the spine as well as the whole body to stretch and relax to create a sense of comfort. But for people with sleep apnea syndrome, lying on their backs can limit the air inhalation leading to shortness of breath, coughing, sneezing or snoring. Especially those who snore will increase snoring symptoms and make the condition worse. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid lying on your back in bed, but should lie on your side.
Go to bed late
Early sleep and early rise can be a "wise" habit that you can apply during your sleep schedule. Getting into bed too late is not good for your body because your body needs enough rest so your body can "repair" after a long day of activity.
Sleep immediately after dinner
Never go to bed immediately after having finished dinner. You must walk at least 10 minutes after eating to promote digestion and avoid bloating. Good digestion will help you get a better sleep and prevent health problems.
Use electronic devices in bed
Currently, electronic devices are likened to an organ on our body. But if you're addicted to these devices and use them even while you're in bed, you're destroying your body. This habit will seriously affect the quality of sleep.
Chinese medicine believes that the process of going to sleep is 'positive to the sound'. When consciousness is positive, when sleep is negative. Light is positive, darkness is negative. So sleeping best should sleep in the dark. In addition, turning on lights when sleeping will interfere with the production of melatonin (a hormone that causes drowsiness) and growth hormones, affecting sleep.
