Committed to ensuring food safety between countries

At the international press conference announced the results of the ASEAN Health Ministers Conference 12th late afternoon 19/9, Mr. Le Luong Minh, the ASEAN Secretary-General said, the Conference had adopted three joint statement.

The Nations pledged to strengthen cooperation in the fields of health, ensuring food safety.

According to Mr. Le Luong Minh, the country pledged to strengthen cooperation in various fields, promote healthy lifestyles, meet urgent threats, strengthen the health system and access the service, guarantee food safety.

"The Nations also committed to strengthen primary health care to achieve whole health coverage, prevention of the disease is not contagious, build sustainable financial system and effective; promoting health equity for all populations, increase access to essential medicines, effectively ensure the quality and consistent ability to pay; reducing maternal and child mortality; ensure financial resources for the prevention of HIV/AIDS comprehensive emergency obstetric system; strengthening cooperation in the field of prevention of infectious diseases are well known; strengthen the control national system of food safety, "he says.

At the press conference, Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien also said that the Conference, through the Joint Declaration which pledged cooperation in medical field between Japan, South Korea, China.

The commitment to primary health care for the prevention and control of infectious diseases, covered the entire population health, traditional medicine, chemical and old population, disaster management health, maternal and child health, pandemic response, infectious diseases, sexually transmitted diseases transmitted from animals to people rabies, malaria, HIV/AIDS.

The Conference also adopted the joint statement of the ASEAN Health Ministers meeting + China.
