Pregnant mother with twins: One child disappears, the other mother cries when looking at her feet

Kis Levonia Givens (28 years old, living in Louisiana, USA) discovered she was pregnant with twins in 2019, after being the mother of 4 children. She said: "In that moment, I was both excited and scared. But I quickly revived myself to prepare for everything ."

Kis is pregnant with twins but one baby disappeared at 13 weeks

However, things did not work out as expected. When Kis went for antenatal care at 9 weeks, the doctor informed her they only heard a fetal heartbeat. Boys are showing signs of development more than girls. And by the 13th week, one child was gone. Most likely, the girl was "absorbed" by her twin brother. This is a rare condition called disappearing twin syndrome.

Kis cried a lot. She even prepared a name for her daughter before she was born, Patience. On January 17, Kis gave birth to Payelon, a brown birthmark on his leg. Kis was surprised because the birthmark is identical to the ultrasound image of his twin sister. That helped Kis to somewhat comfort. She said: "I'm not scared, but more excited. It will remind my son, he once had a sister could not be born."

Kis was surprised that his son had a birthmark similar to an ultrasound image of his twin sister.

Causes of birthmarks, eczema on the newborn's body

Birthmarks that occur due to the color of the skin are determined by the amount of melanin at the bottom of the epidermis. When melanin levels become abnormal per square millimeter of skin, it will show up clearly on the skin surface of a newborn. There are 3 types of excess melanin: moles, coffee spots and eczema.

- Brown or black moles appear anywhere on the body. Some will fade, some will follow children throughout their lives.

- Eczema and spots often appear on the buttocks, back, shoulders, spine, and even the face.
