anterior hip replacement

anterior hip replacement is a common type of total hip replacement. during surgery, your doctor makes an incision in the front of your hip to reach the hip joint. then they replace the joint with a metal or ceramic ball joint. it may be an outpatient procedure, and you may be able to go home the same day. you will need physical therapy to help regain your strength and mobility.
