Not salt, you have to put this in water, vegetables to clean bacteria and pesticides

For a long time, housewives still taught each other how to wash vegetables and fruits by soaking in salt water. However, this method only works to eliminate some bacteria attached to vegetables. Salt water is almost "ineffective" in eliminating pesticides, chemicals preserved in food.

Currently, there is no solution that can completely eliminate pesticides, preservatives on vegetables, tubers and other foods. However, to protect the family's health, housewives can use the materials available in this kitchen to wash fruits and vegetables. They also have the effect of eliminating bacteria and some chemicals present in food.

1. Baking soda

Baking soda works to make the chemical components adhering to the surface of the vegetables melt so it is easy to drift away from your vegetables.

How to do it is simple:

- Sprinkle baking soda directly on vegetables and then submerge.

- Mix for baking soda and soak vegetables for 10 minutes.

- Wash fruits and vegetables with clean water

2. Wine

The alcohol content of alcohol has a strong bactericidal effect, so it helps a lot in cleaning chemicals attached to vegetables.

You only need to pour the alcohol directly onto the surface of the fruit or dilute the wine with water at a ratio of 1: 2. Soak fruits in water for about 5 minutes. Then, wash the fruits with clean water.

3. Vinegar

When vinegar is added to the water, the water is converted into an acid form. This acid component will be highly effective in removing chemicals that adhere to vegetables.

To wash vegetables this way, you need to mix the vinegar and water in a ratio of 1:10. Let the vegetables soak in the mixture for about 5 minutes. Then rinse with clean water.
