Place citrus peels around the house
Fresh citrus scents make insects very uncomfortable so you can place these in and around your home. Choose fresh orange or tangerine peels near doors, windows and other insect-infested areas. Replace the citrus peel every 48 hours to stay effective.

Put a handful of fresh orange peel, a little lemon juice and a few cinnamon sticks in 2 cups of water. Boil for about 10 minutes. Then let it cool and place in a spray bottle. Use when needed.
