Signs the refrigerator out of gas, need to replace immediately if you do not want to encounter disaster

Cause the refrigerator out of gas

Weevil frame: Refrigerators used for a long time will often be an orchestra. Tiny pores appear to slowly release gas in the indoor unit. Therefore, we often find it difficult to detect early.

Welding opening: During the manufacturing process, if the welds are not sealed, after a period of use will lead to gas leaks. Or it may also be due to the previous repair process that exposed the weld, leaking gas of the indoor unit.

High impact: During transportation, the refrigerator is subject to a collision or strong shock resulting in gas leakage.

Perforation: In some cases, customers pry open ice and puncture the indoor unit. Meanwhile, the gas from the leak escapes.

Signs of fridge shortage of gas

The most obvious sign of a lack of gas in the refrigerator is that the refrigerator operates for a long time, the compressor works continuously but not cold. The outdoor unit only slightly heats up, not as usual as usual, and the refrigerator is not cold enough.

How to check if the refrigerator is leaking gas

Use soap bubbles

Let the refrigerator run normally then apply soap on pipes, outdoor units and indoor units. Observe where any bubbles appear, which is the puncture site.

Oil slick

Wipe pipes and outdoor units and indoor units. Then operate the refrigerator and observe the pipes and heat exchangers. If you see an oil slick, it means that the refrigerator is punctured.

Use matchsticks to identify gas deficiency (never use lighters)

Burn the matchstick and the end of the outdoor unit (when the system is in operation). If the cabinet has enough gas, the gas will evaporate, causing the segment to cool down rapidly. If the pipe section is too hot, the refrigerator lacks gas.

Some note when using the refrigerator

Do not arbitrarily change gas at home. Call centers, home appliance repair shops when the refrigerator is broken. If the gas is filled with gas or the welding pipe is not in accordance with the specifications, the pipe may have deposits leading to clogged pipes, causing dangerous explosions.

To prevent explosion, it is best not to use an old refrigerator and refill the gas several times. Old cabinets with a high degree of leakage are very likely to cause gas pipes and electrical shortages.
