How to check if the refrigerator is leaking gas

Use soap bubbles

Let the refrigerator run normally then apply soap on pipes, outdoor units and indoor units. Observe where any bubbles appear, which is the puncture site.

Oil slick

Wipe pipes and outdoor units and indoor units. Then operate the refrigerator and observe the pipes and heat exchangers. If you see an oil slick, it means that the refrigerator is punctured.

Use matchsticks to identify gas deficiency (never use lighters)

Burn the matchstick and the end of the outdoor unit (when the system is in operation). If the cabinet has enough gas, the gas will evaporate, causing the segment to cool down rapidly. If the pipe section is too hot, the refrigerator lacks gas.

Some note when using the refrigerator

Do not arbitrarily change gas at home. Call centers, home appliance repair shops when the refrigerator is broken. If the gas is filled with gas or the welding pipe is not in accordance with the specifications, the pipe may have deposits leading to clogged pipes, causing dangerous explosions.
