If you don't need an oven, you can make moon cakes with a convenient home electric rice cooker

Mid-Autumn Festival is coming very close. What are you waiting for, but don't learn right away how to make mooncakes for family members to enjoy together. If the house does not have an oven, you can fully learn how to bake moon cakes with a rice cooker.

Raw materials for making moon cakes with electric rice cookers

Part of bread crust

1 pack of Mid-autumn moon cake (available at stores selling baking ingredients, supermarkets)

300 ml of sugar water made toast

50ml coconut oil or cooking oil

1 chicken egg

Part of cake

250 grams of green beans

100 grams of sugar

15 grams of flexible baking dough

50 ml coconut milk

How to make moon cake

Step 1: Make green beans

- Green beans soaked in water for 2-3 hours for soft. Then, put the green head in the pot, add a little salt to the water. Turn on the stove, heat until green beans ripen.

- When green beans are hot, quickly grind them. Or you can put in blender to grind.

- Add green beans, sugar, coconut milk, soft dough and cooking oil and put on the stove with small fire. Slugs until they form a thick, flexible mass that cannot be dried.

Note:

- You can replace green beans with taro, green tea, lotus seeds, mixed beans . depending on your preference.

- If you don't have time to slurry, you can buy it from the bakery stores.

Step 2: Make bread crust

Mix sugar water to make scones, egg yolks, cooking oil in a large bowl and slowly sift the flour into a bowl. Knead the dough thoroughly until it is well-mixed together, smooth and non-sticky.

Cover the wrap with food wrap to prevent the powder from drying out. Leave the powder for 30 minutes.

Step 3: Create a cake shape

Divide the crust into equal parts, round balls.

The green bean paste is also divided into equal parts, so that the cake is weight equal to ½ of the bread crust.

Press flat on the crust and put the green bean in the middle. Then gently wrap it so that the filling will not open. Do it in turn with the remaining powder.

Spread a thin layer of dough into the mold to avoid sticking.

Press down on the cake with your hand, tap lightly to leave the cake.

Step 4:

Mix a mixture of cooking oil, chicken egg yolk, and ash water on the cake surface when nine moon cakes are beautiful in color.

Electric rice cookers are washed, drained and put a layer of cooking oil in place or placed on the bottom of the pot, then put the moon cake in to prevent sticking.

Turn on the "cook" button to bake a cake. When enough time is reached, the rice cooker will automatically jump to the 'warm' button. When you wait about 10 minutes then press the 'cook' button.

Doing so from 2 - 3 times will make the cake brown. To make sure the cake is ripe, you can use the test toothpick. Use a toothpick to plug in the cake, if the toothpick is dry, the cake is already cooked. Note, when making moon cake with an electric rice cooker, you should regularly turn the cake. Because unlike the oven, the temperature of the rice cooker is often uneven, if it does not turn over, it will make your cake burn, but there is no yellow.
