Smooth, glossy skin is not far away if applying 5 steps of skin care every morning

My skin care regime, and more specifically my morning skincare routine, tends to change based on the seasons and state of the skin. When we walk in the spring, I exfoliate more to remove my winter dry skin and use moisturizing substrates (oils and moisturizers), so choose the ones that match The texture is light, less heavy (or fat) compared to what I am using in the winter.

But that is not only about the products I use but also the order I use. By applying skin care products in the most effective way, you are sure that they will function well and you do not waste your money on expensive skin care.

As a quick rule, skin care products should be applied to the lightest to the heaviest.

Step 1: Only clean with water

In the morning, I just wash my face with water. Because I clean the whole thing at night, including the makeup remover and dirt cleaning. I still often feel the product on my face the next morning. Honestly, my skin never looked better when I just washed my face with water in the morning.

If you're skeptical, try using a konjac sponge, which is a gentle exfoliating sponge from which to make konjac roots. The sponge naturally cleanses the skin without removing the natural protective oil on your skin.

Step 2: Toner

After washing my face, I use toner to create a water barrier for the skin. This acts as a good foundation for all the next steps. My favorite toner has a small amount of essential oils like lavender or rose, which is great for helping the active ingredients penetrate the skin (next step).

Step 3: Skin care

Now is the time when I call the specific operation phase. Products that contain a component of salicylic acid help to cleanse the skin better. These products work on the skin for certain benefits to your skin.

Step 4: Keep moist

After that, I will switch to moisturizer. I tend to choose heavy moisturizer in the form of facial balm or heavy facial oil. I rarely use ice cream because I feel my skin reacts better to vegetable oil.

I will add oil by tapping on the face and then massaging the skin with upward direction. I took a few minutes for this process. This helps work the product into my skin and I pamper myself with a small facial massage.

If I use lip balm, I will warm it in the front hand, by rubbing it between my hands, to get consistency, and then continue as mentioned above.

Step 5: Sun protection

You should always apply sunscreen. For me, living in Norway, if I go out to attend a cross-country skiing session, or will be exposed to the sun a lot, I will use non-nano mineral sunscreen. This is both environmentally friendly and helps protect me from hyperpigmentation and other sun damage.
